Sustainability that Rocks: How Roborock’s Innovation is Contributing to a Greener Earth
2023-04-20 09:00:00 · CorporateAs we celebrate Earth Day 2023, it is important to us at Roborock to reflect on the positive impact we can have on the planet. As a leading innovator in the smart home cleaning industry, Roborock crafts products and policies that can not only save time and money, but can also contribute to saving the planet. Below you can learn more about just a few of our sustainability initiatives.
Saving On Electricity
The S8 Pro Ultra is our newest robot vacuum that makes life easier for you and the environment through conserving both electricity and water. The advanced DuoRoller Riser Brush and VibraRise 2.0 Mopping System combines vacuuming and mopping functions, reducing the use of separate tools and saving on electricity and water. The S8 Pro Ultra uses only 150 kWh of energy per year with average daily use, making it more energy efficient than upright vacuums that consume 1-2.2 kWh per hour of use. Even better, the S8 Pro Ultra’s HyperForce suction of 6000 Pa ensures that you can use the least amount of energy and water possible by deep cleaning hardwood and carpet the first time around.
Similarly, the Dyad Pro 2-in1 Wet and Dry Vacuum Cleaner helps save energy and water for those who prefer the upright vacuum design. Thanks to its energy-saving features such as the Eco cleaning mode, this vacuum uses only 10.8kWh of power per year when used for 40 minutes a day, minimizing your energy consumption.
Less Water Consumption
In the United States, the average family uses more than 300 gallons of water per day, according to the United States Environmental Protection Agency. Of the 300 gallons of water used by an average household a day, around 70% of this water is used for indoor cleaning (including bathing, bathroom & faucet use). A classic mop bucket is filled with almost 4 gallons of hot water; that is enough for cleaning about 968 - 1,291ft² - if you do not even exchange the water for certain living areas (i.e., for the bathroom, kitchen) again. In comparison, the Dyad Pro cuts that amount of water usage dramatically by utilizing only 0.24 gallons of water to clean 2,798 ft² while the S8 Pro Ultra uses 0.26 gallons of water to clean 968 ft². Additionally, the S8 Pro Ultra’s mopping mechanism vibrates at 3,000 times per minute, removing tough stains effectively with cold water while eliminating the need for harsh chemicals and manual labor when cleaning floors.
Our Commitment to A Better Environment
From your home to our office, Roborock has a commitment to creating a sustainable environment. Like our best-in-class products, our office policies ensure we are being environmentally friendly. By utilizing recycled water in our buildings and timers for our campus lighting, our offices conserve both water and electricity. In addition to water and energy waste, a big source of waste in an office is paper. In fact, one office worker can use an average of 10,000 sheets of paper per year. In our effort to completely reduce this number, Roborock has committed to a fully paperless office for all daily activities.
Roborock is proud to invest in the future of the planet with our innovative products and office policies this Earth Day. Whether you’re investing in a new robot vacuum or reducing paper waste in your daily life, we encourage everyone to contribute to sustainability efforts to make a positive impact on our planet.
